While the UN established the ‘right to an education’ as a basic human right in 1966, we extracted this subject from our ‘Basic Rights’ category and chose to give it its own section. Too many children lack access to educations and too many teachers lack the necessary tools and resources to properly school children. If a child has access to food, water, shelter, safety and healthcare, an education should be the next pillar of strength for this child to lean on and learn from, regardless of the child’s race, religion, or physical disability. Far too many children are left behind unable to reach their true potential.
